Having stepped into the cheese industry with a small cheese shop in Eminönü in 1965, Muratbey opened its first production facility in 1992. Muratbey became the Turkish market leader in the “Special Cheeses” category. Muratbey, which has more than double the tonnage share of its closest competitor according to Nielsen’s 2017-2018 data, maintains its leadership in the “Special Cheeses” category, which is the only category with high growth for the last two years.
