“DONKA” GbR was founded in 2007 by us, Mariya & Petar Ganchev, with a lot of passion and great attachment to our home country Bulgaria. Since we have been living in Germany, it has become more and more our goal every day to offer German customers our great Bulgarian milk products, which are popular throughout Bulgaria and made according to traditional recipes – just like in grandmother’s time. We would like to introduce you to a piece of Bulgarian nature, consisting of white and yellow cheese and the original Bulgarian yoghurt, with living Lactobacillus Bulgaricus cultures, which is not without reason the “No. 1 anti-aging agent” in Bulgaria. The milk required for this comes from cows, goats and sheep that graze on pastures and alpine pastures in a natural mountain range in the south-eastern part of Bulgaria, graze with lots of fresh air, lots of green meadows and meadows and a touch of a salty pinch of the Black Sea. DONKA soft and hard cheeses are not only natural, but also made and processed by hand. In recent years, we have largely expanded the range of our products. Of course, the focus is on Bulgarian food, but also drinks. Meat products, such as the well-known Bulgarian lukanka, vegetable preparations, such as the traditional lyutenitsa, or sweet treats of all kinds. At your next dinner, enjoy a glass of rakija as the Bulgarians know it. Our products are already being used in the Rhine-Main area, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as well as in some EDEKA stores in the Mannheim and Frankfurt am Main area and are gladly accepted by customers. The German customer has known for a long time that Father S. Kneipp was right about many things, as he also claimed: “The way to health leads through the kitchen and not through the pharmacy”.
